Barton is a great player with lots of potential! but would I want him at the blues? I dont think I would.

As my mate said Bruce was able to tame Pennant, but I doubt Bruce could change Barton that easily,

Would you really want a player there that could disrupt the harmony of the squad and possibly put one of them in hospital??

No thank you!!

"no" to BARTON

I hate this sort of thread. It's okay if people say whether they'd welcome a player or not and leave it at that. But usually it leads on to the 'I'll burn my Season Ticket' if he comes' type of remark. Next there'll be polls and petitions and we'll end up with the sort of situation which has 'allegedly' cost us players in the past.

Let's speculate about who we'd like to come - but lets try not to usurp the manager/club's role to actually choose the players that they want.

So, if BCFC want to buy Joey Barton - that's good enough for me. Even if I do think he's an onanist.

So we pay our dosh and don't have a say?

Are you real ?

What if the board wanted to move Blues to Dublin? (Another club tried that).

The thing is, Barton is not coming here, either now or 18 months ago. This topic is about if Barton, or a person like him, would be welcome at a club like Blues.

Reasonable player, so are Bellamy and Bowyer. But in only one instance in the 50 or so Bruce transfers has a sizeable section of the fans revolted. Now Bruce has said he doesn't want Barton.

So this thread is actually talking about a redundant hypthosis. What I like about it is that it shows how much some of the fans care about Blues, and how little some of them care about Blues.

As we'v ebeen linked with him, allegedly. If we had the chance would you take him?

Yes, he's a thug, but one hell of a player.

He'\got a screw loose like some others in his family.

that's harsh...

Do you really think that paying to watch your team gives you a say in who they buy? Interesting theory - but one I dont subscribe too. I somehow doubt that the club do too.

And what if the club wanted to move to Dublin? Highly unlikely, however, I'll play along for a second. How successful were the fans of Wimbledon in stopping the move to Milton Keynes?

Club's are not run by the fans. Remember how Man United were going to be prevented from selling up to the Glaziers? Wonder what those fans who were up in arms think now they are about to win the Premiership? A good example perhaps of the fans not always knowing best? But certainly an example of how fans certainly dont dictate policy.

And the only thing this thread shows is how many people would like Barton here, and how many wouldn't. It says nothing about the level of care that fans have from the club - and I find the suggestion that it does rather pompous.
